Our Outdoor Space

Our school is equipped with a 3000 sqft yard, which we have utilized to create an outdoor active area for the children. The center of this play area is a bridge and tunnel combination, with an 8 ft long tunnel running perpendicular to a 16 ft long bridge. For active play, we have a dome climber on 2.5” thick green rubber tiles (rated for a 6 foot fall). A gazebo provides shelter from the sun or a light drizzle. Our shed is equipped with a range of outdoor toys including bicycles and tricycles for the children. We also have a play structure with a swingset and slide, sandbox, blocks etc. We add water play during summertime.

To cultivate a love of gardening, we also have several huge planter boxes where we have planted blueberries, huckleberries, strawberries, and raspberries for the children. Some boxes are empty and meant for children to plant tomatoes, corn, peas, zucchini, mint, basil etc.
